Silky, firm, and long, the Hook is a longer than average toy with a great pressure generating head and perfect diameter shaft. The hook can be used for both vaginal and anal play and has a fantastic angle for g/p spot play. Gently shaped for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. If you love the feeling of fullness a toy with a full-sized head can give you, this is the perfect toy for you. Plays great in a harness, for self-play, and for hand-held partner play.

Hook
We bought the Hook as a companion to the Tantus Fido for playing in the back yard, due similar length; (an "opening act" to reach that depth and get ready for the otherwise much more intense toy) but found it to also be a very versatile and satisfying standalone toy!
The directionality of the Hook's head is wonderful for learning the ins and outs of where a bulbous head gives the really great sensations, and how we can choose between them- because it's supported by that assertively firm shaft for clear control of one's exploration, without features which distract from or confuse the sensations from the head. It gives a lot of power to whomever is in control, because the difference between aligning the toy one way or another can be very intense! The gentleness of this toy allows it to shine in this way, because it gives a lot of _wiggle room_ in how it can be used.
As a spotting toy, we imagine the lack of intense curve can be challenging for some bodies; but at least for this reviewer, accommodating the more direct shaft adds a welcome intensity to the feeling of being probed, especially in partnered play. For spotting from next door, squeezing the vagina from outside instead of stretching from inside, the Hook's head is bulbous enough to track gently across all the spots which light up real nicely: less aggressive than the pointier heads of smaller spotting toys, seems to feel more soft and cuddly. For bodies shaped to allow such, detouring to roll over all those happy buttons on the way to and from they toy's full depth can make for a very satisfying ride- especially used as another dimension of control for a partner to keep things unpredictable.
The only shortcoming we noticed so far is that the base could be more strongly directional for solo play, at least when learning what it feels like to have it rotated different ways.
Re: the matte texture of many Tantus toys, at first it seemed a bit intimidating to this reviewer; but with the kind of lubrication we need for butt stuff anyway, it doesn't feel harsh at all. We imagine it's not great for vigorous thrusting; but at least with gelly-thick, water-based lube, (we don't have much experience with oil-based or thin lubes yet) when poking around slowly it seems to better resist suction-gripping our insides.
We find the matte finish adds a very welcome velvety tickle to slow, gentle strokes inside a very relaxed and loose body; great for long, deep but gentle toys like this one, where each slow slide in and out can feel like it goes on forever! Kinda underscores the feeling of opening up and embracing such a deep probing.
Excellent toy, perfect length and girth for our purposes. And I figured out why it is called, oddly, "Hook". It's obviously named for its striking resemblance to a very large crochet hook.
This toy is my favorite. It has a bit more surface texture compared to my #2 (also Tantus, the Vamp) - but the large head and smooth, tapered length is amazing to go deep or stay as shallow as desired. Works well with harnesses as well as double sided suction cup play (highly recommended!). Although this is probably the cheapest dildo in my collection, it sees the most use. Easy to handle, easy to clean, and easy enough to store (it's pretty long but nbd). Looks great in red, and always does its job. Love it, love it, love it!
This toy is great if you want to reach depths that are a little uhmm... deep.
My wife and I also used it for pegging. The Hook was great for positions which we normally don't do due to our body shapes. For example, most dildos don't reach me easily or stay in if I'm on my back and she is kneeling. The Hook however, due to its length, does reach me and stays in. Also the head is large enough that there is pressure as it slides in and out of my butt.
Overall, another great toy from Tantus.
